AiF funding

The research project "FF-SIM", which was developed together with the Institute of Metal Forming (IBF), will be funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy from 01.06.20, within the framework of the funding of an individual research project of the cooperative industrial research via the Arbeitsgemeinschaft industrieller Forschungsvereinigungen "Otto von Guericke" e.V. (AiF).The aim of the research project is the finite element (FE) modelling of thermomechanical stress in multilayer refractory materials. For this purpose, Young's modules are used, which are obtained by standardized tests. This facilitates the development and construction of industrial plants in which refractory materials are used. The project submitted in cooperation with the German Society of Refractory and Chimney Construction and the Research Association of the German Ceramic Society has a duration of two years.
