Approach by car

The Institute of Mineral Engineering is now located at its new location at Forckenbeckstraße 33.

To the Institute of Mineral Engineering,
Forckenbeckstr. 33, 52074 Aachen:

  • Access via the A4 and A44 motorways at the motorway junction Aachen: A4 direction Antwerpen/Heerlen
  • Exit 2: Aachen-Laurensberg, direction Laurensberg
  • Take the next exit, direction RWTH-Melaten/Klinikum (Pariser Ring)
  • After passing the railway bridge take the next exit with direction RWTH-Melaten/Fraunhofer-Insitute.
  • At the roundabout take the second exit into Forckenbeckstraße. The parking lot is located approximately 200 m down the Forckenbeckstraße on the left side. Please follow the road at the parking lot to the end.

  • ICE from Brussels and Frankfurt
  • IC from Berlin
  • Thalys from Cologne/Dortmund and Brussels/Paris
  • Eurostar in combination with ICE or Thalys from London via Brussels

At Aachen HBF take line 3B (Fraunhofer-line, direction Aachen Schanz) up to bus stop "Otto-Blumenthal-Straße". From there ist is only a short walk (appr. 20 m) to the Institute of Mineral Engineering.

The ride from Aachen HBF to the Institute of Mineral Engineering takes about 15 minutes using a taxi.
